At the top of the list is Zurich, Switzerland, where a 5km ride costs $27.3 (Rs 2409), making it the most expensive city for taxis. Cairo, Egypt is the cheapest, with the same ride costing just $1.9 (Rs 167).

Indian cities are very affordable:

  • Delhi: $2 (Rs 176)

  • Mumbai: $2.1 (Rs 185)

  • Bengaluru: $2.9 (Rs 256)

In Southeast Asia, Manila ($2.3, Rs 203) and Jakarta ($2.4, Rs 212) also offer low fares.

European cities dominate the expensive list. Besides Zurich, cities like Paris ($26.5), Luxembourg ($26), and London ($23.1) are costly. However, Prague ($10.5, Rs 926) is the cheapest European city for taxis.

In North America, Canadian cities like Toronto ($11) and Vancouver ($11.1) are mid-range, while New York ($15.8, Rs 1394) ranks 20th on the expensive list.
