This year, Fiji Airways was named one of the Top 10 Airlines in the World by the APEX (Airline Passenger Experience Association)—marking the first-ever win for this small airline. Fiji Airways is the smallest airline ever and the only airline from Oceania to make the list.

Other top airlines include Singapore Airlines, Qatar Airways, Emirates, and more.

Fiji Airways’ CEO, Andre Viljoen, said this recognition is historic: “In 2016, we were outside the world’s Top 100. Today, we are in the Top 10, showing that with hard work and innovation, even a small airline can achieve the impossible.”

The airline upgraded its services over the last decade, introducing restaurant-style dining on demand, featuring local Fijian dishes and products. Fiji Airways also connects several U.S. cities—including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas, and Honolulu—to Fiji and beyond.

APEX evaluated airlines based on customer reviews, audits, and expert peer reviews, considering service, comfort, safety, sustainability, and customer satisfaction.
