In today’s busy world, many travelers seek tranquil escapes in nature. Travel company Travelbag has ranked the best destinations for peace, considering factors such as noise, light pollution, green spaces, and crowd levels.

At the top is Queenstown, New Zealand. Located near Lake Wakatipu and the Southern Alps, it offers pristine nature, plenty of green spaces, and a relaxed environment. Queenstown scored 94.4 for green space quality, 91.67 for cleanliness, and has low noise and light pollution.

Coming in second is the Seychelles Islands, famous for its white sand beaches, turquoise waters, and serene surroundings.

The third spot is shared by Kyoto (Japan), Banff (Canada), and Cairns (Australia). Cairns stands out for its clean environment, green spaces, and peaceful tropical scenery near the Great Barrier Reef and Wet Tropics Rainforest.

Other top destinations include Whistler (Canada) at No. 4 and Australia’s Gold Coast at No. 5. The Gold Coast also ranks highly for clean beaches and calm waters.

Travelbag noted that 72% of Brits go on holiday to relax, and 47% seek trips that help them feel mindful and grounded, showing a growing desire for peaceful travel.
