Utah’s biggest resort, Black Desert, has officially opened in Greater Zion, offering 447 rooms and suites, seven restaurants and bars, and a massive 15,000-square-foot spa. Surrounded by red rock cliffs and black lava beds in Ivins, the resort spreads across 600 acres where the Colorado Plateau, Mojave Desert, and Great Basin meet.

Guests can choose from three types of stays: the Hotel Collection (close to the spa, pool, and dining), the Resort Collection (family-friendly with kitchenettes), and the Plume Wellness Collection (focused on relaxation with CBD pillows, aromatherapy, and therapy blankets). All rooms include welcome drinks, balconies, golf cart rides, and a Malouf pillow menu.

The resort also features a 19-hole championship golf course, infinity pool, fitness center, and a luxury spa with 13 treatment rooms and wellness options like salt inhalation, hyperbaric therapy, and dry cryo floats. Guests can also enjoy guided hikes and fitness classes.

Food lovers will find plenty of choices: Basalt, a signature steakhouse; Latitude, an open-air grill; a rooftop lounge with live music; plus a lobby bar, coffee and dessert spot, poolside dining, and a sports bar with craft beers and simulated golf.

With nightly rates starting at $399, Black Desert promises a luxury stay with adventure, wellness, and world-class dining in the heart of Southern Utah.
