Looking for a peaceful beach this summer without the crowd? A new report from BoatBooker has found the best hidden beaches in the U.S., and Vereen Memorial Park in South Carolina took the top spot!

BoatBooker looked at Google Maps data, searching for terms like “secluded beaches” and “quiet beaches.” They ranked beaches with fewer than 100 reviews and high ratings.

Vereen Memorial Park, located just north of Myrtle Beach, is a 115-acre spot filled with nature, history, and calm vibes. It’s free to visit and perfect for families, pet lovers, and nature fans.

The report also gave South Carolina a cool new title—“America’s Hidden Beach Capital”—with five beaches in the top 10:

  • Driftwood Beach (No. 2)

  • Morris Island (No. 4)

  • Station 22 (No. 9)

  • Edisto Beach State Park Campground (No. 10)

California also impressed, with 9 beaches on the full list. Torrey Pines City Beach in San Diego ranked highest for the state at No. 5. Other top California picks include:

  • Dana Strands Beach (No. 7)

  • Pirates Cove Beach (No. 8)

Many of the beaches on the list are inside state and national parks, making them clean, quiet, and naturally beautiful.

So, if you want to skip the crowds, check out these peaceful spots!
