Once a textile warehouse, Late Checkout in Lower Parel’s Mathuradas Mill Compound is now a stylish late-night cocktail bar. The space keeps its industrial charm with high ceilings, exposed textures, and a warm, welcoming vibe. Soft lighting, chandeliers, plush seating, and a 21-foot skylight give it a classy yet cozy feel. The wooden interiors create a mountain chalet-like ambiance, while the stunning metal and wood-finished bar serves as a centerpiece.
Co-founders Pawan and Nikita Shahri, known for Gigi, Lyla, and Eve, have designed this spot for people to enjoy a relaxed evening and “checkout” late into the night.
The Food
Chef Amit Dhoundiyal brings his expertise from global kitchens to craft a menu full of rich, umami flavors. The dishes break away from typical Asian-inspired dining with creative twists.
- Smoked Tuna Carpaccio – Thinly sliced tuna with truffle ponzu, wasabi oil, and avocado sorbet.
- French Onion Tempura – Pickled onion rings with creamy French onion dip and herbs.
- Cured Aged Tartare – Gochujang-spiced tenderloin tartare served in crispy salapao with a yolk jam finish.

- Duck Curry Puffs – Flaky pastry filled with duck and mild-hot Japanese curry sauce.

For a sweet ending, the Matcha Tiramisu surprises with gin-soaked ladyfingers, matcha mascarpone cream, and strawberry caviar. Their unique gelato flavors include burnt honey with whisky, and cheddar-jalapeño with mirin-soaked apricots.
