Begin in Marfa
Start your trip in the small desert town of Marfa, known for its art scene and desert charm. Stay at Hotel Paisano or Hotel Saint George, explore the Chinati Foundation, and shop for local gems before hitting the road.
Enter Pinto Canyon
From Marfa, drive south on Ranch Road 2810. After about 32 miles, the pavement ends, and the land drops into the breathtaking Pinto Canyon. Here, the scenery changes from grassy plains to steep cliffs, craggy volcanic rocks, and sweeping views stretching all the way into Mexico.
