East Winds, one of St. Lucia’s oldest resorts, has been beautifully redesigned while keeping its Caribbean charm. Originally built in the 1960s, this boutique, adults-only, all-inclusive resort now features a fresh midcentury modern look with handcrafted local touches.

Interior designer Andria Mitsakos led the transformation, working with local artisans to restore 70% of the resort’s furniture and create vibrant, island-inspired decor. Hand-painted murals, custom lanterns, and bamboo furnishings now enhance the lush gardens, while the pool area shines with colorful sun loungers. The restaurant, now called Bird of Paradise, features custom-designed plates and tableware made on the island.

The rooms have also been upgraded with rattan and bamboo furniture, handcrafted clay decor, and stylish walk-in showers. Guests can even take home a piece of this Caribbean magic by shopping exclusive locally made items in the hotel’s reception area.
