Southwest Airlines has teamed up with Expedia Group to sell tickets on Expedia’s popular travel websites, including CheapTickets, Hotwire, Orbitz, and Travelocity. This means travelers can now book Southwest flights on more sites, not just on Southwest.com. The partnership officially starts on February 27, 2025.

Why It Matters

This is a big move in the travel industry, as it makes booking Southwest flights more convenient. Expedia’s Chief Commercial Officer, Greg Schulze, said that the partnership is a great fit because both companies want to provide the best travel options and value to customers.

More Benefits

Travelers can also use Expedia’s AI tools to make booking easier. Plus, Expedia’s OneKey rewards program lets customers earn points and get discounts on hotels and travel packages.

Southwest’s Expansion

Southwest Airlines flies to 117 destinations in 11 countries. They also recently partnered with Icelandair to offer connections across Europe and Iceland. In May 2024, Southwest began showing its flight prices on Google Flights and introduced overnight flights from Las Vegas and Phoenix to Baltimore.
