Southwest Airlines is adding new routes and more flights for summer 2026. Starting June 4, 2026, the airline will launch flights between Boston and San Diego, Las Vegas and Cancun, and other popular destinations. Southwest will also increase flights on busy routes from Las Vegas, Orlando, Austin, and California cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, and Sacramento.

New Mexico flights will include Los Cabos and Puerto Vallarta, and the airline will start its first service to Anchorage, Alaska, on May 15, 2026, connecting the city to Denver and Las Vegas.

These expansions follow Southwest’s recent changes, including new seating policies, fare updates, and adjustments for plus-size travelers.
