La Quinta Resort & Club, near Palm Springs, California, has just finished a big renovation as it prepares to turn 100 next year. This historic resort, a favorite of Hollywood stars and presidents, now combines its old charm with modern comforts.

Chris George, the resort’s marketing director, said, “We call it a ‘restoration’ because we kept the resort’s classic feel while adding new technology and amenities.”

The updates, led by the architecture firm Leo A Daly, refreshed the 620 casitas and 98 villas with new furniture, stylish bathrooms, and brightened spaces like the lobby with colorful tiles, cozy seating, and greenery.

One big change is the adults-only Renker Pool area, now featuring two climate-controlled pools, 15 private cabanas, a new bar, fire pits, a hot tub, and a small market. Guests have been loving these new additions.

For food lovers, the resort offers casual bites at The Marketplace and Centre Court Café, plus fine dining at Morgan’s in the Desert, which will also get a fresh look this spring.

Spa La Quinta, the resort’s wellness center, offers massages, facials, steam rooms, a jacuzzi, and more. The resort is also famous for its tennis and pickleball courts, golf courses, and its beautiful 45-acre property filled with gardens, citrus trees, and views of the Santa Rosa Mountains.

“We’re excited to honor the resort’s history while making sure today’s travelers enjoy luxury and comfort,” said Dermot Connolly, the resort’s managing director.
