American Airlines is making it easier to visit Charleston, South Carolina, with a new direct flight from New York’s LaGuardia Airport (LGA). Starting June 6, 2025, travelers can fly directly to Charleston twice a week on Fridays and Saturdays. The flight takes about two hours and 17 minutes on an Embraer 175 aircraft.
Charleston International Airport already has flights from major cities like Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas/Fort Worth, Philadelphia, Miami, and Washington, D.C. It also has flights from airlines like Delta, JetBlue, Southwest, Spirit, and United.

Travelers can find great deals with one-way tickets starting at $99 on Fridays and $79 on Saturdays. You can also use American Advantage miles, with award tickets starting at 7,500 miles plus $5.60. The flights will depart from LaGuardia’s new Terminal B, which features an Admirals Lounge and a Chase Sapphire Lounge.
