Pigeon Forge, Tennessee, already known as a top family destination, has added a brand-new attraction that makes the place even more exciting this fall.
The Pigeon Forge Racing Coaster is the country’s first side-by-side racing mountain coaster, reaching speeds up to 30 mph. Opened in June, it features two parallel tracks so riders can race head-to-head.
The 10-minute ride is packed with fun elements like three 360-degree spirals, an 80-foot double helix, uphill stretches, and a mid-race bridge where riders can catch views or size up their opponent. At night, the track glows with LED lights, and in fall, riders get breathtaking views of colorful foliage.
Each cart fits two people, making it perfect for friends and family. There’s also a leaderboard that records times, so riders can brag about their wins. NASCAR driver B.J. McLeod and his wife Jessica created the ride, mixing the thrill of racing with the beauty of the Smoky Mountains.
