From the rim of Ordesa Valley in northern Spain, the Pyrenees mountains look endless. With sharp peaks, deep valleys, and green meadows, the views are breathtaking. Recently, this scenery was named the best panoramic view in the world by travel photographer Bella Falk and CEWE, a UK photo printing company.
The award went to Ordesa y Monte Perdido National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The park was created in 1918 and is one of Spain’s oldest protected areas. Its famous peak, Monte Perdido (the “lost mountain”), rises over 11,000 feet, making it the third-highest in the Pyrenees.
According to Falk, the park stands out for its snow-covered peaks, dramatic valleys, and stunning mountain landscapes. What makes it even more special is that these views can be enjoyed easily, without needing professional hiking gear.
