The Singapore Oceanarium has reopened, and it’s now three times bigger than before! But it’s not just about size—it’s about taking you on a beautiful journey through the ocean’s past, present, and future. With huge animatronic creatures, interactive zones, digital screens, and thousands of sea animals, this place is perfect for anyone who loves the ocean.

What to See

Start at Ocean Wonders, where glowing Moon Jellies float in a large tank with colorful lights. Don’t forget to spot the funny-looking Fried Egg Jellyfish—they look just like sunny-side-up eggs!

Next is Ancient Waters, showing life from millions of years ago with giant sea creatures like Dunkleosteus and Xiphactinus. It’s like walking through the ocean’s dinosaur age.

The Shark Tunnel, now larger, lets you walk through as Hammerhead and Sandbar Sharks swim above you. It’s thrilling and beautiful at the same time.

At Singapore Coast, get close to local marine life. Try dipping your hand in a tank to let a tiny skunk cleaner shrimp nibble dead skin—it’s like an ocean spa! Also, record cool underwater videos using your phone in a special bucket.

Coral Gardens is a colorful space filled with live corals, moray eels, and giant clams. It teaches you why coral reefs are so important for sea life.

The Open Ocean zone is truly magical. A 36-meter-wide glass panel shows more than 40,000 sea creatures like Manta Rays, Zebra Sharks, and Eagle Rays swimming peacefully. With soft music playing, it feels calming and unforgettable.

Other Highlights

In the Whale Fall zone, you’ll walk under a life-sized model of a whale skeleton lying on the seabed. It shows how a whale’s body continues to give life to other sea animals even after it dies.

The journey ends with a message on climate change—how it affects marine life—and the Hallway of Hope, which shares success stories of ocean conservation. It leaves you inspired to protect our seas.
