HX Expeditions has joined hands with Greenlandic chef Inunnguaq Hegelund to give guests a special taste of the Arctic. Known for living close to nature, Hegelund grew up fishing, hunting, and learning traditional Greenlandic cooking. Now, he leads the New Arctic Kitchen, mixing old food traditions with modern flavors.

On selected HX sailings, guests can enjoy a four-course Greenlandic dinner. The menu includes snow crab bisque, scallop terrine, local lamb or beef, and a sweet Greenlandic apple cake. All dishes use wild and locally sourced ingredients, giving guests an authentic Arctic experience.

Chef Hegelund says food in Greenland is deeply connected to the land and the people. This partnership helps travelers explore Greenland’s culture in a new way—through its flavors and stories.
