Doha’s Hamad International Airport (HIA) has expanded, making travel smoother and more comfortable for passengers. Known for its lush Orchard concourse, luxury shopping, and dining options, the airport now offers even more space and services.

HIA has opened its final concourse, D, following the recent opening of concourse E. With this expansion, the airport can now handle 65 million passengers a year, an increase of 13 million. This makes it one of the world’s busiest airports, competing with major hubs like Dubai International Airport.

The new expansion improves travel by reducing waiting times. A 40% increase in gates allows passengers to walk straight from their planes into the airport, reducing the need for buses. The airport has also introduced self-boarding gates to speed up queues.

HIA’s new concourses are designed with accessibility in mind, including better signage, ramps, lifts, and spacious seating for passengers with mobility needs. Sustainability is also a focus, with smart lighting and water-saving innovations.

This expansion makes Hamad International Airport a top choice for travelers flying through the Middle East.
