Sri Lanka is offering Indian tourists a unique chance to explore the legendary Ramayana with its new “Ramayana Trail” package. This special tour highlights 20 key locations tied to the Hindu epic, including temples, gardens, caves, and waterfalls.

Key highlights:

  • Seetha Amman Temple – Where Sita is believed to have prayed during her captivity.
  • Rumassala Hill – Said to be where Hanuman dropped part of the Himalayas.
  • Hakgala Botanical Garden – Ashok Vatika, where Sita was held.
  • Kelaniya Temple – Where Vibhishana was crowned ruler of Lanka.

The tour also includes stops at Dunuwila Lake, Sigiriya, Ussangoda National Park, and many more historical sites.

Sri Lankan Airlines offers several packages, including options for 5, 6, and 7-night itineraries, starting at $699 (Rs59,000) per person.

This unique Ramayana experience is already gaining attention after a viral ad, where a grandmother narrates the epic to her grandson.
