Goa’s popular Thai restaurant Fireback has arrived in Mumbai, and it’s changing the way the city sees Thai food. Forget your usual green curry and som tam—here, things look different but taste just as Thai.

Chef David Thompson, a well-known name in the world of Thai food, brings his 40 years of experience to this bold new space. Fireback’s dishes may surprise you at first, but the rich, punchy flavors will keep you coming back.

Not Your Typical Thai Food
At Fireback, green curry isn’t bright green—it’s more rustic and packed with fresh veggies like baby corn and palm hearts. Their som tam skips the raw papaya and instead features juicy pineapple. Sweet potato skewers with BBQ sauce, tangy cucumber salad, spicy king prawns, and buttery pork belly all bring the heat and heart of Thai cuisine to Mumbai’s plates.

The Space
Located at Peninsula Corporate Park in Lower Parel, Fireback Mumbai is all about classy, modern design. With arched hallways, glowing lights, wooden décor, and a live kitchen view, it offers a stylish yet cozy vibe. There’s even a secret dining room for private gatherings.

The Team
Chef David Thompson leads the concept, while Indian chef Kaustubh Haldipur brings it to life in the kitchen. The entire team trained in Thailand to bring an authentic but India-friendly menu to Mumbai.

The Drinks
Head mixologist Varun Sharma uses Thai ingredients like lemongrass, tamarind, and coconut to craft creative cocktails and mocktails. Drinks are tropical yet refined—like a coconut shell colada or gin with rosewater and lime leaf.
