Soft breezes sway the sea grapes, and sunlight sparkles on the clear blue waters around Bahia Honda State Park. Located at Mile Marker 37 in the Lower Keys, this 500-acre island with three beaches and the historic Old Bahia Honda Bridge is a peaceful escape from the busy life of Key West.
Bahia Honda was named the best beach in the U.S. by Dr. Beach in 1992—the first Florida beach to earn this honor. Visitors can walk along the Old Bahia Honda Bridge for amazing views of turquoise water and swaying palms.
