Before this, only Delhi had direct flights to Almaty with Air Astana and IndiGo. But now, due to Pakistan’s airspace being closed for Indian airlines since April 24, Air Astana is the only airline flying directly from India to Almaty.

The flights are operated with Airbus A320 and run three times a week—on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. The travel time is less than 5 hours.
