Nothing says spring in Washington, D.C., like the beautiful cherry blossoms! The city’s famous Yoshino cherry trees, gifted from Tokyo in 1912, create a stunning pink and white display every year.
When is Peak Bloom?
The National Park Service predicts that peak bloom—the time when 70% of the blossoms are open—will happen between March 28 and March 31, 2025. The bloom usually lasts for several days, but weather conditions can affect its duration.

Blossom Kite Festival – A fun-filled event where people fly kites at the National Mall.
Sakura Matsuri – Japanese Street Festival – A cultural celebration with food, performances, and more.
