In the small town of Loveland, Colorado, just an hour north of Denver, there’s a peaceful and beautiful place called Chapungu Sculpture Park. This 26-acre park is filled with 82 hand-carved stone sculptures made by talented artists from Zimbabwe. It’s the largest outdoor art center in the U.S. focused on Zimbabwean stone art.

A Park Full of Stories and Nature

The park is built along the Greeley-Loveland Canal, with walking paths, summer flowers, trees, and lots of birds. Each sculpture tells a story about family, community, nature, and spiritual beliefs from Zimbabwe. Every piece is unique and full of meaning, made by artists in Zimbabwe before being brought to Colorado.

More Than Just Art

The park is free and open to the public every day, all year long. It’s wheelchair accessible and a great place to relax, take a walk, and enjoy nature. In the summer, the park also hosts live music through the Sounds of Centerra series, where you can enjoy performances on the lawn with snacks and drinks available.
