Goa’s New Wine Bar Opens Amid Paddy Fields — Near Panjim, Wineyard sits in Merces inside a restored Indo-Portuguese home. Surrounded by lush green paddy fields, it offers a peaceful spot to unwind with a glass of wine.
Inside, the space feels cozy and welcoming, with old tiled floors, simple furniture, and tall wine fridges filled with bottles ready for exploration. Soft music plays as sunlight streams in through windows overlooking the fields. Step outside and you’ll find a relaxed garden setup with picnic-style tables under a large tree—perfect for sunset drinks and cool river breezes from the nearby Mandovi.
A passionate team led by beverage expert Arijit Bose, along with Avinash Kumar and Maverick Fernandes, runs Wineyard. The wine list is the star, featuring wines from around the world, including natural and sparkling options. The bar keeps prices friendly. Trying a second bottle feels easy rather than indulgent.
The food is simple, comforting, and made to pair with wine. Expect cheese boards, olives, chilli chicken, chilli beef, and crunchy snacks—nothing fancy, just good flavours and generous portions.
The experience is laid-back and pet-friendly. Order at the bar, carry your drink to the table, and relax while your food is brought to you. There’s even a self-service station with water, napkins, and mosquito repellent.
Wineyard isn’t about dressing up or showing off. It’s about slowing down, enjoying good wine, simple food, and soaking in Goa’s quieter, greener side. 🍷
