  • More serious crimes like break-ins, harassment, assault, and even murder or rape have been reported.

  • Visitors are advised to conceal their valuables, avoid walking alone at night, and remain vigilant at all times.

  • Do not resist robbery attempts and avoid opening doors to strangers in hotels or residences.

  • Keep expensive jewelry and watches out of sight.

  • Be careful while walking or driving in the evenings.

  • Register with the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP) for updates and emergency help.
