Santa Fe, New Mexico — recently voted the best city in the U.S. — has a new reason to attract travelers. The newly opened Hotel Glorieta combines modern design, local culture, and outdoor adventure, offering guests access to 25 miles of nearby hiking trails and rooms starting at $165 per night.

The hotel was once known as The Lodge, but after a full renovation by Bullwhip Capital and local design firm French & French, it now shines as a stylish, modern retreat just a mile north of downtown Santa Fe. From its hilltop location, guests can enjoy some of the best views of the city.

Inside, the décor mixes old and new — handcrafted Mexican wood furniture, woven wall art, and soft Italian-made linens. Rooms feature cozy beds, spacious sitting areas, and big-screen TVs. The lobby is warm and bright, with plenty of space to relax by the fireplace.

Guests can enjoy a $10 breakfast buffet, a free coffee bar, and filtered water bottles in rooms to reduce plastic waste. Outdoors, the hotel features a kidney-shaped pool, a bar serving refreshing palomas, and a yoga lawn that doubles as an event space. For entertainment, the Marigold Room hosts live music and small shows for up to 150 guests.

Soon, the hotel will open Lady Duff’s Lounge, offering cocktails, steak with chimichurri fries, and live jazz. A barrel sauna will also be added by the pool, turning the leisure club into an all-weather relaxation zone.

Hotel Glorieta aims to be an “urban adventure hotel,” encouraging guests to explore Santa Fe’s art, culture, and nature — all from one stylish spot.
