Hosa, known for its South Indian flavours, has opened its second outlet in Gurugram at One Horizon Centre, nearly 1,900 km from its original Goa location. Chef Harish Rao brings a mix of Goa favourites and new dishes, including Dindigul mutton biryani, baby potato gassi, polichattu, and plantain pepper roast. Popular Goa dishes like curry leaf-cured snapper and Hosa fried chicken are also on the menu.
The restaurant combines tropical modern design with a bustling city vibe. It seats 90 people, featuring a luminous bar, creative artwork, and a semi-open private dining room. The interiors mix safari-style, island vibes, and playful artwork.
Chef Harish Rao, with over 20 years of experience, focuses on South Indian ingredients like millets, tamarind, gongura, and native oils. The menu includes creative dishes like raw banana paniyarams with four types of chutneys and brain pepper roast served with soufflé egg whites. Other highlights include Benedict-style kari dosa, ghee rice with spices and cashews, sorakkai salad with cashew yogurt, and Elaneer pepper fry with pol roti.
For desserts, Hosa offers filter coffee tiramisu, jigarthanda-style affogato, mango-coconut layer cake, and molten ragi lava cake.
The drinks menu, curated by Varun Sharma, includes unique cocktails, mocktails, and house sodas. Notable drinks include the Banana Leaf Martini, Deccan Fire with paneer, and Nannari & Coconut Cold Brew. The menu is inspired by South Indian flavours and adjusted for northern weather.
Hosa Gurugram brings the soul of South India to the city with bold flavours, creative dishes, and a lively dining experience.
