Every year, millions visit Asia’s top museums to explore art, history, and culture. In 2024, the most visited museum in Asia was Shanghai Museum East with 4.2 million visitors, followed by National Museum of Korea, M+ in Hong Kong, teamLab Planets in Tokyo, and Tokyo National Museum.

Shanghai Museum East, Shanghai – 4.23 million visitors
The museum showcases ancient Chinese art, including bronzes, jade, ceramics, and calligraphy. This year, special exhibitions include The Spiraling Glory (treasures from Guyuan, Ningxia) and Legends of Dragon (ancient Hongshan culture).

M+, Hong Kong – 2.61 million visitors

teamLab Planets, Tokyo – 2.43 million visitors
