If you love making new friends while traveling, San Diego should be on your list. According to a new report by Yuzu, a social app for the Asian-American community, San Diego has been named the friendliest city in the U.S.

How They Chose the Friendliest Cities

Yuzu asked its users to rate how friendly their city is, based on things like:

  • How often they have good interactions with strangers

  • How likely people are to help if needed

  • Overall behavior of local residents

Each city was given a score out of 10 based on these answers. San Diego came out on top with a score of 8.67!

Why San Diego?

San Diego, located in southern California, is known for its relaxed beach lifestyle, great surfing spots, and friendly locals. The weather is amazing too, with temperatures usually between 50°F and 77°F all year. That means you can enjoy the outdoors almost any time you visit.
