Tóa 66 is a new Thai restaurant in South Mumbai—but with a big twist. It’s fully vegetarian and offers a unique tasting menu that skips the usual red, green, and yellow curries, pad thai, or som tam. Instead, the menu brings in lesser-known Thai dishes with bold flavors, stylish plating, and fresh ingredients.

Expect dishes like rolled rice noodles (kway teow) topped with microgreens, or larb tofu served with sticky rice and rice crisps. The menu changes every few months, and everyone gets the same 7-course experience—no separate choices.

The Space & Vibe

Tucked behind the popular Nksha restaurant on Veer Nariman Road, Tóa 66 is located in the old Abu Dhabi Commercial Bank building. The decor is warm and cozy, filled with Thai art, vintage pieces, and soft lighting. It’s a peaceful space perfect for slow, relaxed dinners.

The People Behind It

Tóa 66 is founded by Ishaa Jogani Shah and Deval Shah. Ishaa is a vegetarian from Bangkok and Deval has worked in hospitality around the world. Their chefs are husband-wife duo Kanchit and Natanong Vongvichai, who have cooked Thai food for decades. The restaurant is also known for its cool alcohol-free drinks, created by expert mixologist Feruzan Bilimoria.

What to Eat & Drink

Start your meal with a fun DIY bite called miang kham—betel leaves filled with lime, coconut, peanuts, and spicy sauce. Then enjoy street-style vegan meatballs, tofu larb, and pretty rice noodle rolls. You’ll also try comforting soups, fried rice, and dessert made by chocolatier Prateek Bakhtiani.

Even the drinks are special. Try a herbal G&T made with kaffir lime and lemongrass, or an unusual dessert drink with “pad thai” flavors. Everything is alcohol-free for now, but wine and beer will be available soon.
