City vacations are a great way to explore culture, food, and people-watching. But sometimes, we all need a break from the busy streets and tall buildings to enjoy some fresh air. Luckily, some cities give you the perfect mix of city life and nature.

Recently, Freepik, an AI image company, shared a list of cities with the most green spaces. They studied the 100 biggest cities in the world and checked TripAdvisor for places tagged as “Parks,” “Gardens,” and “National Parks.” They removed places with less than 10 Google reviews and looked at ratings and the number of reviews. Freepik even used AI to imagine how these cities might look in 50 years depending on tree loss.

After looking at all the data, Freepik said Tokyo is the world’s best city for green spaces. The city has 159 parks and gardens!

“Tokyo is No.1 for green spaces, with 159 parks and nature spots,” Freepik said. From busy areas like Shiba Park to the peaceful Shinjuku Gyoen National Garden, Tokyo has many places where locals and tourists can relax and enjoy nature. The parks in Tokyo have also received nearly 359,000 reviews.

Following Tokyo, London is ranked No. 2 with 78 green spaces, Paris is No. 3 with 63, Singapore is No. 4 with 55, and New York City is No. 5 with 46 parks and nature spots.

So, if you’re looking for a city break with plenty of nature, these cities are perfect for you!
