American Airlines is testing free in-flight Wi-Fi on three routes:
📍 Charlotte (CLT) to Raleigh Durham (RDU)
📍 Charlotte (CLT) to Jacksonville (JAX)
📍 Miami (MIA) to Chicago O’Hare (ORD)

The airline aims to improve customer experience by offering better connectivity. “Staying connected in the skies is important, and we want to give our customers what they need,” the airline stated.

Currently, American Airlines provides free Wi-Fi for T-Mobile customers on domestic flights. Other passengers can buy Wi-Fi starting at $10 per flight or subscribe to monthly plans from $49.95.

With this move, American joins other airlines in the race for free Wi-Fi. United Airlines plans to launch Starlink-powered free Wi-Fi for MileagePlus members this spring. Delta already offers free Wi-Fi for SkyMiles members on most domestic and some international flights.

This test could lead to better in-flight internet options for all passengers in the future.
