In 2024, about 25.87 million Americans moved homes — and even more are expected to move in 2025. If you’re planning a fresh start and wondering where to go, Livability has released its list of the best U.S. cities to live in!
They studied thousands of cities with 75,000–500,000 people and looked at things like housing, healthcare, safety, schools, jobs, and the environment. Only cities where the median home price is under $500,000 were considered. Each city got a Livability Score based on these factors.
And the winner?
🌟 Flower Mound, Texas – Scored the highest with 875 points!
Known for its beautiful wildflowers and peaceful vibe, Flower Mound stands 650 feet above sea level and offers amazing natural views. It’s not just pretty—it’s also safe, has great schools, strong healthcare, and a booming economy with over 2,000 businesses.
Other top cities include:
✨ Carmel, Indiana – Score: 872. Known for top schools and affordable homes.
✨ Sugar Land, Texas – Score: 854. Known for low cost of living and educated residents.
✨ Naperville, Illinois – Also praised earlier this year as the best city to live.
✨ Roswell, Georgia – Score: 838. Another strong option with great livability.
